Ethos and Values
"Dream Big, Work Hard, Believe and Achieve!"
At Richard de Clare Community Academy, our vision and core values are at the centre of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
Our School Aspirations:

-
To encourage learners to have big dreams and aspirations and work hard to achieve them.
To encourage learners to believe in themselves and our community, recognising the part that we play in the wider community outside of the school gates.
To build a community of respectful, responsible, self-confident individuals who have a voice and make a positive contribution.
To encourage our community to make the appropriate choices that lead to an emotionally and physically healthy lifestyle, within which attitudes of tolerance, empathy and respect are nurtured.
To create a secure and intellectually challenging environment based on a broad and balanced curriculum, enabling all children to reach their full potential, whilst inspiring a love of learning.
To create a wholly inclusive and integrated learning environment for all children on roll at the school,
To recognise and celebrate the achievements of all.
Everything that we do at Richard de Clare is underpinned by our three core values of kindness, safety and respect. We teach and link to these core values in all that we do to ensure that every child's experience at our school is as positive as can be!
At Richard de Clare, we firmly support equal opportunities for pupils and staff and endeavour to keep children at the heart of every decision made in school. We have a firm commitment to quality teaching and learning and strive to achieve the highest standards in these areas. Staff, parents, pupils and governors are all part of the partnership process that makes Richard de Clare such an effective team.
Core Purpose of the Trust
As part of Bridge Academy Trust, Richard de Clare joins with ten other schools in seeking to have a positive impact on young people's lives by providing high quality education for all children from three to nineteen years through our Trust Vision. Our school values and vision align with the core purpose of the trust to provide high quality education for all children in our schools.
As a trust and a school we want children to ENJOY coming to school and learning experiences available to them. We want to ensure that they are ENRICHED with a wealth of opportunities inside and outside of lessons and the curriculum, so that all talents are identified and nurtured. We want to ensure that our children ACHIEVE high standards, academically, in terms of examination results; personally, through their respect for others and their environment; socially, through their contribution to the life of the school and wider community. We strive for all children to ASPIRE to be the best they can be.
