  Religious Education - Right to withdraw

In the UK, parents retain the right to withdraw their child from Religious Education on the grounds that they wish to provide their own Religious Education; the provision of the teaching of RE then becomes a parental responsibility.

To withdraw a child from some or all RE, parents should notify the Headteacher of their intention in writing – no reason for the withdrawal is required. This can be done by emailing [email protected].
