Children’s Mental Health Week
Last week was Children’s Mental Health Week and our school took part in Active Essex’s Walk & Talk Mental Wellbeing Day.
During their lunch break Years 4, 5 and 6 completed up to 12 laps of a course, walking up to a mile as they asked each other questions using topic prompt cards.
At the end, students were asked to say something that they enjoyed about the event, something new they learnt about their partner, and what the benefits of walking and talking had been.
‘It was tiring! My friend is really funny!’ Lilly Year 4
‘It was good, can I do it again?’ Jack Year 4
‘It was amazing, fun and made us feel healthy and helps getting rid of stress.’ Chloe Year 5
‘It was good fun and good to learn about other people.’ Francis Year 5
‘It’s really fun to get to know each other.’ Karin Year 6
‘Will you be doing this again!?’ All year groups
