Thursday 29 January 2026 WEARING OF PE KIT ON SCHEDULED PE DAYS: AFTER FEBRUARY HALF TERM I am writing to inform you of an important update regarding our approach to clothing on scheduled PE days that will take effect after the February half term. Starting from Monday, 23rd February, all children will be required to come to school on their scheduled PE days wearing their school PE kit.This change has been carefully considered and aims to reduce the time spent changing before and after PE lessons, thereby maximising valuable curriculum time. We also anticipate that this will minimise the risk of lost property that often occurs when children change into and out of their PE clothing.To ensure that all students are appropriately dressed for their PE activities, we would like to remind you of the required PE uniform, which consists of the following items:• Black shorts, leggings, or jogging bottoms• Plain white or RdC branded white PE top• Burgundy school jumper, cardigan, or fleece• Trainers• SocksA spare pair of trainers and socks s

Wednesday 28 January 2026 COMMUNITY AWARD EVIDENCE SIGN OFF DATE: TUESDAY 27TH JANUARY Mr Lawrence, our community award lead, will be available at lunchtime on Tuesday 27th January for any children who have been working towards their community award at home and have evidence to show to him for signing off. Class teachers will inform the children on Tuesday morning, where Mr Lawrence will be and will make sure that they are supported to go along and see him with any of their evidence from home.Remember, that evidence can also be presented by emailing [email protected] state clearly in the email your child's name, class and the area that their task is contributing towards.Attached is the task list for each year group, in case your child would like to get working towards the award over the weekend before Tuesday.We have an extended celebration assembly planned for Friday 30th January in the hope that we will have lots of Stage 1 awards to present!

Wednesday 28 January 2026 CONTINUTED SAFETY CONCERNS/PARENTS DISREGARD OF PARKING RESTRICTIONS We wish to again bring to your immediate attention the ongoing and increasingly dangerous issue that has been observed around the school premises concerning parking practices. There continues to be instances where parking restrictions are being ignored, which not only undermines the enforcement of these regulations but also significantly endangers the safety of our pupils. We have witnessed numerous cases of dangerous parking, including vehicles parking on pavements, double yellow lines and across the entry to roadway leading into the school grounds.Now that parking along the basketball courts and within the lead in to the school has reduced, an increasing number of parents are parking on the pavements and areas marked with double yellow lines along Parsonage Street. This is creating as much of a dangerous situation as the cars that were parked disregarding restrictions in the areas shown in the previous parking notice.This continued disregard for road markings and restrictions and the
